Motorcycle and Scooter Towing From Basement Carparks: Pickup Checklist

by Scooter Narcotics on Oct 14, 2026

A building address alone may not be enough to find a scooter or motorcycle in a basement or multi-storey carpark. Separate entrances, restricted ramps, security gates and numbered levels can make the collection point difficult to locate.

Before arranging recovery, prepare the details below. They help the towing provider assess access and plan collection without relying on repeated calls for directions.

Give the entrance as well as the address

Include the building name, full address and postal code, then describe which vehicle entrance leads to your parking area. Some developments have different entrances for residents, visitors and deliveries. A map pin and an entrance photograph can help distinguish them.

If there are several blocks, say which one contains the bike. For a shopping centre or office complex, identify the relevant carpark rather than only the business or shop you were visiting.

State the exact level and lot

Write the level as it appears on the signs—such as B2 or Level 4—and add the parking lot number. Include a nearby lift lobby, staircase, zone colour or pillar number if it helps identify the spot.

For scooter recovery through our booking form, put these details in the “Precise spot” field. “Near the lift” is less useful than “B2, motorcycle lot M17, beside lift lobby C.”

Report access restrictions before dispatch

  • The posted vehicle height limit at the entrance.
  • Gates, gantries or security approval needed to enter.
  • Access-card requirements and whether someone can meet the driver.
  • Narrow ramps, tight turns or restricted collection areas.
  • Whether the carpark entrance is locked at certain times.

Do not assume the recovery vehicle can enter simply because the scooter fits. Send the access details so the provider can confirm the approach. Do not promise security access or a loading arrangement before checking with the building's management.

Explain the bike's condition

Tell the provider whether the bike rolls, steers and has its key available. Mention a locked steering mechanism, damaged wheel, flat tyre or anything else that could affect movement. Explain whether it is in a normal parking space or trapped behind another vehicle.

Do not try to drag or lift the bike into an accessible area on your own. If access is difficult, let the provider assess it first. Keeping the condition description accurate is more useful than assuming the pickup will be straightforward.

Make yourself reachable

Use a mobile number you can answer during the collection. If reception is poor in the basement, explain that and agree where you can be reached. Arrange access to the key and remove personal belongings before handover.

A complete pickup note could read: “60 Example Road, Block A. Enter from the side road. Basement B2, lot M17 beside lobby C. Posted height limit 2.1m. Security needs a visitor pass; I can meet the driver at the gate. Scooter rolls and steers, key available.” Replace these example details with the real location.

Booking scooter recovery in Singapore

Scooter Narcotics offers S$45 flat island-wide scooter towing to our workshop, with 24-hour dispatch. Provide access information when booking and confirm collection timing on WhatsApp. The quoted scooter service does not establish a price for every motorcycle or specialist recovery situation; check suitability before payment if your vehicle or access needs differ.

Book your scooter tow online, or read the towing cost and booking guide. If the scooter will not start, our no-start checklist explains what information to prepare.
