When ordering a motorcycle number plate, start with where it will be mounted. Acrylic and metal plates should suit your mounting arrangement. Your choice should suit the available surface or bracket as well as the required lettering and colour format.

Start with your mounting surface
For an acrylic plate, check the plate mount, available width and height, and mounting-hole positions. Add these details to your order notes.
For a metal plate, check the bracket and how the plate will attach. Record the existing width and height, mounting-hole positions and any nearby fittings. Replacing a plate is a good opportunity to check that the mounting area can support it securely.
Front and rear choices can differ
You do not have to select the same material for both positions. If ordering two plates, the builder lets you select the front and rear materials separately. For example, you can request a front acrylic plate and rear metal plate while keeping each position clearly identified on the order.

Material, colour and layout are separate choices
Choosing metal does not by itself establish compliance, and choosing a acrylic does not remove the need to follow the relevant specifications. Use the colour and lettering guide to understand the published requirements before confirming an order.
Do not copy the dimensions of a plate simply because it fits the bracket. Check the lettering and spacing too. A compact display mockup is not a manufacturing template.
